Jordan will take you back in time to one of the most prestigious civilizations of the Near East through the discovery of the mysterious city of Petra. This journey will take you into the vast desert of Wadi Rum and its lunar landscapes and you will explore the exceptional seabed of Aqaba. Day 1 : AMMAN
Upon arriving Queen Alia International Airport or at land borders, you will be received by our representatives. Transfer to your hotel and night in Amman.

Day 2 : AMMAN / JARASH / AJLOUN / UM QAIS /AMMAN
Departure to visit the splendidly preserved Greco-Roman city of Jarash. Jarash is one of the most important and best preserved Roman city of the Decapolis. It is also known as the Pompeii of the east. Drive through the pine forests and olive groves until the fortress of Ajloun, known as Qa'lat Al Rabaht. Overlooking the Jordan Valley it was built in 1184 by Izz Al-Din Usama, a general in the army of Saladin. The castle controlled traffic along the road connecting Damascus and Egypt. Back on the road to visit Um Qais. Historically known as Gadara, Um Qais is one of Jordan's most unique Greco-Roman Decapolis sites. Tucked away in the black basalt hillside, at a height of 378 meters above sea level, Um Qais offers an incomparable panoramic view over the northern Jordan valley, the Sea of Galilee (Lake Tiberius), the Yarmouk Gorge and the Golan Heights. On a clear day, snow topped Mount Hermon is visible. Drive to Amman. Dinner and night in Amman.

Day 3 : AMMAN / MADABA / MONT NEBO / KERAK / PETRA (King's Way)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure in the morning for Madaba. Day dedicated to the King's Way, former route of incense. Arrival in Madaba, the "city of mosaics" known for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, is home to the famous mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land dating from the 6th century. With its two million pieces carved from very colorful local stones, this map represents the hills, valleys, towns and villages of the region as far as the Nile delta. Other mosaic masterpieces have been found in the Church of the Virgin and Apostles and in the Archaeological Park and Museum, depicting a whole profusion of flowers and plants, birds and fish, exotic animals, as well as scenes inspired by mythology or daily activities related to hunting, fishing and farming. There are hundreds of other mosaics dated between the 5th and 7th centuries, scattered throughout the churches and homes of Madaba. Visit of the Madaba mosaic school, the only school of its kind in the Middle East, it trains craftsmen in the art of making, repairing and restoring mosaics. Visit of Mount Nebo which offers a spectacular view of the Jordan Valley. Here you will find the memorial of Moses and the place from which he is said to have discovered the Holy Land. After the visit, we cross the Moujeb valley (Wadi Almoujeb) between Madaba and Kérak. Visit of the castle of Kerak built by the Crusaders in the 12th century. We will arrive in the evening with the sunset on the mountain of Petra. Dinner and night in Petra.

Day 4 : PETRA
Breakfast at the hotel. A whole day dedicated to visiting the “Pink City” of Petra, a unique place, built 2,600 years ago by the Nabataeans who carved monumental tombs, stairs, palaces and temples in the naturally red colored rock. Built at the outlet of the Wadi Mousa (the Siq) gorges, the city is one of the treasures of the Middle East. Visit of the site: the Treasure (the Khazneh), the theater, the royal tombs, the High Place of sacrifice, the lower town with its Roman theater carved into the rock, the Deir, ... Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 5 : PETRA / LITTLE PETRA / PETRA

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning reserved for the visit of Petra to allow you to see as much as possible of this magnificent Nabataean city. In the afternoon, transfer by car to visit “Little Petra”, a miniature replica of the “Pink City”. A suburb of the ancient city, it comes complete with its own mini-Siq, tombs, temples and various examples of domestic architecture, including water channels and some faint frescoes. Dinner and night at the hotel in Petra.

Day 6 : PETRA / WADI RUM / AQABA

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the desert of Wadi Rum for a 4x4 ride in the heart of "the Valley of the Moon". Discovery of the ark, the seven pillars of wisdom, the house of Lawrence of Arabia and prehistoric inscriptions. Transfer to Aqaba (Red Sea). Free afternoon to enjoy the sun of Aqaba and the waters of the Red Sea. Night at the hotel.

Day 7 : AQABA / BETHANY / DEAD SEA / AMMAN
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure in the morning for the visit of Bethany, place of baptism of Christ, unique site in the world on the banks of the Jordan, recently opened to tourists. Departure towards the Dead Sea, 442 meters below sea level. Austere, brutal, inundated by a blinding light, such are the landscapes of rocks which surround the blue fringed with white of the Dead Sea. The Greeks called it the “asphaltite lake”, the Muslims the “stinking lake”, the Hebrews the “sea of salt”, or even the “sea of law” alluding to the destruction “by sulfur and fire” of Sodom and Gomorrah, the two cities bordering the lake from which only Lot and his family could escape. Free time to swim and relax then return to Amman. Dinner and night in Amman.
