Jordan is an amazing place to explore on foot. This itinerary covers the length of Jordan in all its diversity from Um Qais in the north, to the deserts of Rum and the Red Sea in the south. In between we cover all the major sites of Jerash, Kerak, Madeba, the Dead Sea, Amman and others.


Upon arriving Queen Alia International Airport or at Land Borders, you will be received by our representatives assisting you on your way through immigration. Followed by private transfer to Amman (33 km from airport) for check-in at your hotel -Amman.

Day 2: AMMAN / JERASH / GADARA / AMMAN (City Tour).
Departure to visit the splendidly preserved Greco-Roman city of Jarash, Jarash is one of the most important and best preserved Roman cities of the Decapolis. It is also known as the Pompeii of the east.
Road to visit Um Qais Historically known as Gadara, Um Qais is one of Jordan's most unique Greco Roman Decapolis sites. Tucked away in the black basalt hillside, at a height of 378 meters above sea level, Um Qais offers an incomparable panoramic view offers incomparable panoramic views over the northern Jordan valley, the Sea of Galilee (Lake Tiberius), the Yarmouk Gorge and the Golan Heights. On a clear day, snow topped Mount Harmon is visible. Drive to Amman. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Morning depart to Madaba. The 'City of Mosaics' has the most famous mosaic map of the holy land '6th century', depicting Jerusalem and the Holy Land.
Then, depart to the Dead Sea, 442m below the sea level austere, brutal, flooded by a blinding light. Lunch. Road and Visit the Kerak castle, built by the Crusaders in the 12th century. After the visit, drive to Dana.
We will arrive in the evening with the sunset over the mountains of Dana. Dinner and overnight.

Morning to visit The Dana Nature Reserve; is one of Jordan’s hidden gems. The focal point of the reserve is the charming 15th-century stone village of Dana, which dangles beneath the King’s way on a precipice, commanding exceptional views of the valley below. Then go trekking across the nature reserve of Dana towards Wadi Araba and visit of bronze mines. Dinner and at night at the ecological Lodge of Finan.

Days 5 & 6: PETRA (Trek)
After breakfast departure to visit Petra, 2 full days to discover and to visit; Jordan's Jewel 'Petra' a city fully carved into the rock, there is no other site of its kind in Jordan, or perhaps throughout the Middle East. It’s an unique place, constructed place 2600 years ago by Nabatens which sculptured monumental graves, staircases, palaces and temples in the red, pinkish natural colors. Lunch at the site of Petra. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Days 7 & 8: PETRA / WADI RUM (Trek)
Another great day has been planned! Leaving Petra focus on the timeless and unspoiled Wadi Rum, one of the world's most outstanding desert landscapes where monolithic mountains of sandstone and granite rise out of the rose-red desert sand creating a magnificent scene. Lying 120 Kms. south of Petra and 68 Kms. north of Aqaba, Wadi Rum is the classic picture of a sandy desert with sandstone hills rising sheer out of the valley floor. There are many ways to explore this unspoiled desert retreat. It is the ideal location for hiking, climbing and trekking. The scenery here has not changed since Colonel T.E. Lawrence’s time. Wadi Rum is still one of the most striking natural landscapes in the world. Go to trekking in the Wadi. Diner and camp under the stars.

Day 9: AQABA (Read Sea)
Breakfast, then Transfer to Aqaba. Free day at leisure in Aqaba. Those interested in snorkeling can do so at one of the world's best conserved coral reefs. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Free day at leisure in Aqaba. Lunch.
Back to Madaba via the Wadi Araba. Arriving in Madaba. Free time. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Transfer to the airport and Departure.

Physical Rating: Moderate: If you practice from time to time, a little jogging, dancing, cycling or any sport, you'll get there!
5 to 6 hours of walking /a day .

Equipment required:
Allow 2 Luggage: 1 large suitcase to be carried by a support vehicle. 15 kg.
1 backpack sized for carrying( camera, sun cream...)

Long sleeve shirts rather than T-shirts.
Shoes: 1 pair of sandals for the evening, a pair of walking shoes or lightweight trekking type property type sneakers with good ankle support.
Accessories: 1 or 2 bottles (2x1 L), a flashlight (front if possible) with batteries and spare bulb, sunglasses, a knife, toiletries and small personal pharmacy.
For photographers: UV filter, waterproof bag to protect your equipment from sand (freezer bags are excellent protection).
